Železiarne Podbrezová a.s. belongs to the oldest metallurgical companies in Central Europe. Its history dates back to 1840, when the construction started up. Today the company belongs to global players with manufacturing plants in the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic and Spain and sells to 50 countries of the world through its own sales and marketing network.
Production portfolio includes steel blooms, seamless tubes, precision seamless and welded tubes, large diameter welded steel tubes, tube semi-products and fittings. Products are certified in accordance with TÜV, Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, Germanischer Llloyd, Bureau Veritas, API, Det Norske Veritas. Quality management system and waste management are certified according to ISO standards.

Customers or shareholders can find there our production portfolio, annual report, overview of events from the life of the company in the customer bulletin or the company newspapers. The goal of human resources management is to ensure appropriate number of employees with suitable structure and optimum use of employees’ qualities. The company monitors requirements on placement of job vacancies and decides about the method of employee selection. Cooperation with schools forms a part of the strategic management and has a long-term history. The company maintains contacts with schools and motivates pupils to study in technical majors.
